Я считаю, что вам не хватает вызов:

[self.tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:indexPath 
         withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade];

и вам не нужен reloadData вызов:

if (editingStyle == UITableViewCellEditingStyleDelete) { 
    [tableTitles removeObjectAtIndex:[indexPath row]]; 
    [self.tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:@[indexPath] 
          withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; 
    [self leaveEditMode];

(это также будет выглядеть лучше, так как это будет дать визуальную обратную связь пользователю, в отличие от reloadData).
